The International Academy of Physician Associate Educators is a volunteer-run organization of global healthcare educators who focus on the training and promotion of practitioners including physician assistants, physician associates, clinical associates, clinical officers, medical licentiates and assistant medical officers, to name a few of the titles used around the globe for this important healthcare cadre.

The programs that train these clinicians to have the knowledge, skills, and attitude to provide essential healthcare are found in more than 46 countries around the world. From Africa to North America, from Europe to Australia and from the Middle East to East Asia, academic training and clinical practice are growing in size and scope.

IAPAE was started in 2008 by a dedicated group of educators and clinicians to bring together physician associates globally to develop and share best educational practices while respecting regional cultures.
